Recently, CASCO successfully won the bid for the renovation of the signaling system and supporting facilities of Wuhan Metro Line 1, and will provide TRANAVI Qiji TACS based on train-to-train communication for it. This is the fourth TACS line that CASCO has participated in constructing, following Shenzhen Metro Line 20, Shanghai Metro Line 3 and Line 4. To date, CASCO has won bids for 80% of the TACS projects tendered nationwide, significantly promoting the application of new technologies in urban rail transit.

Wuhan Metro Line 1 is the first urban rail transit line in Wuhan, with a total length of 38.54 kilometers and 32 stations. The renovation project involves the main line (including stations), Gutian Depot, Hankoubei Depot, and Qiaokou Control Center, as well as related supporting works.

The TRANAVI Qiji TACS provided by CASCO is the most advanced train control technology in the field of urban rail transit. It is not only suitable for new lines but also perfectly matches the renovation needs of existing lines. Through three major technological innovations: platform optimization, resource refinement, and system simplification, TRANAVI Qiji TACS can achieve autonomous resource management and active interval protection, significantly improving operation safety and efficiency, reducing equipment installation and commissioning workload, effectively shortening the construction period, and lowering renovation costs.

In addition, CASCO will also provide integrated platform screen door (PSD) system for this project. The on-board equipment directly controls PSD controller and realizes integrated control of signaling and PSD. Compared to traditional PSD, its door opening and closing linkage efficiency will be improved by about 30%, with safety integrity level of SIL4, thus further ensuring travelling safety.

With this successful bid, CASCO's participation in the construction of Wuhan's urban rail transit lines has increased to 10, with a total mileage exceeding 386 kilometers, accounting for about 60% of Wuhan Metro's total mileage. It witnesses the remarkable transformation of Wuhan Metro from individual lines to a comprehensive network. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the operation of Wuhan Metro. Taking the renovation of Line 1 as an opportunity, CASCO will spare no efforts to create a high-quality project, leveraging technological innovation to support the further transformation and upgrad of Wuhan Metro, and jointly writing a new chapter of high-quality development.
